Aryana Sayeed will participate in the 2021 Democracy Gala. Aryana Sayeed is the most established, most accomplished and most respected award-winning Female Artist of Afghanistan’s current generation. In addition to her artistic and philanthropic work, Aryana is also an outspoken and active Women and Human Rights Activist in a country where the rights of human beings; especially that of women are constantly violated.
Through her influence, music, art and celebrity image, Aryana promotes peace and gender equality inside Afghanistan and represents a better and more progressive image of Afghan Women to the outside world.

2Baba will participate in the 2021 Democracy Gala. Innocent Idibia, known by his stage name 2Baba, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and activist. He is the campaign ambassador for the NDI-supported Vote Not Fight campaign, which encourages peaceful participation of young people in elections in Nigeria. He is the first winner of MTV Europe’s Best African Act Award and has won major awards in Africa, the United States, and Europe. 2Baba uses his platform to raise awareness of issues of governance, youth development, and internal displacement, among others. He established the 2Baba Foundation to promote peace in Nigeria and throughout Africa by collaborating with individuals and organizations working toward peaceful and productive coexistence of all people. He entered into a partnership with UNHCR in 2017 and released a song dedicated to raising awareness of internally displaced persons. In 2020 he was appointed a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, the first Nigerian to assume this role.

Max Weinberg will participate in the 2021 Democracy Gala. Max Weinberg is the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame drummer, from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.
Weinberg began drumming at the age of six, with his first public appearance a year later. In 1974, he won an audition to become the drummer for Springsteen’s E Street Band. Since then, as millions of fans attended Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s concerts, “Mighty Max” has remained the indefatigable heartbeat of Springsteen’s epic performances.
From September 1993 until January 2010, Weinberg became bandleader of The Max Weinberg 7 for Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and later The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, where he served as O’Brien’s longtime comic foil. In 2014, Weinberg was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
